The Jamaica Amateur Radio Association would like to thank you for visiting our Home Page on the World Wide Web.

This new mode of sending and retrieving graphics and text information on the Information Highway the Internet, is fairly new to myself and most of the local Hams. We are however glad to now be a part of this super highway and will try to provide as much information about Amateur Radio in Jamaica to other users of the Internet, whether they be HAM operators themselves, or just surfing the net. This unification of more than 24 million people behind keyboards it just as mind boggling as when Marconi sent his first transmission across the Atlantic.

We as HAM operator know the importance of communication, unity and abiding by

agreements as  set out by ourselves and our regulatory bodies. In the 10 years that I have been a ham never have I imagined such a colossal joining of so many people from different countries, of different races, by computers and not over HF Radio.
